Our founder, Tom, began his career with hands-on installations and construction projects that revealed his unique eye for value engineering. The 70's and 80's were a time of progressive change in the roofing and construction trades that afforded Tom creative opportunity. His problem-solving ingenuity led to the inception of a patented roofing tool that can be found on almost every prefabricated Duro-Last roofing installation today; the Gripull.
In the mid 80’s, the opportunity to expand into representative sales unfolded and Allen Consulting Group, Inc. was born. Since 1986, the team assembled under Tom has specialized in product presentation, site consultation, and business development. Our team has developed a highly respected commercial roofing consultation and representative agency with experienced associates across the Midwest. ACGI has been recognized as one of the top 3 representative agencies for Duro-Last Roofing, Inc. for over 20 years, and provides highly-esteemed agency training and technical assistance for all representative groups and commercial roofing contractors in the network.
